Kyiv City Council conducts International Activities regarding bilateral cooperation with cities that encompass various legal instruments targeting enhancement of mutual relations, experience exchange, promotion of cultural events. In addition, Mayor Deputy, the Secretary of the Kyiv City Council Mr. V. Prokopiv performs his duties as the Head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe. Apart from that, Kyiv City Council is responsible for the following initiatives:
- - Fostering the partnership with other Ukrainian and other cities abroad with the main aim to develop cooperation and experience exchange concerning issues of local self-governance;
- - Involvement of experts and organizations in discussion and solving of issues within the scope of Kyiv City Council activity;
- - Maintenance of constant relations with international organizations (both governmental and nongovernmental), diplomatic and consular missions in order to promote international cooperation and participate in international initiatives.
